It’s been a busy fall for Accreditation Team Visit (ATV) activities and preparations with an even busier slate for 2023. Comanche Peak, Fermi, Prairie Island are all scheduled for or have already competed ATVs with Cook up early in 2023 and several other USA members to follow.  In addition to ATV activities, John Tripoli’s team has been engaged with INPO and the industry on new INPO processes for Accreditation Continuum, expected in July 2023. In addition, the Training Project is engaged in efforts by INPO to simplify, streamline and eliminate low-value aspects of accreditation.  This will free up resources to focus on the next initiative.

INPO is close to issuing a Teaching and Learning Principles Document which focuses on:

• Being passionate teachers and learners
• Being highly proficient at the moment of execution
• Learning and developing with purpose
• Teaching and learning enablers
• Leadership responsibility and accountability

There are clearly changes coming to the accreditation process and other training principles and the USA Training project is fully engaged in making sure we provide input to the changes and how they are rolled-out to the industry – much more to follow in 2023.
