***Breaking News*** – DOE Selects USA for Funding of Advanced Remote Monitoring Project
Utilities Service Alliance (USA) is excited to announce that on Thursday, May 23rd, 2019, the Department of Energy (DOE) selected the USA proposal for Advanced Remote Monitoring (ARM) for monetary award. “This announcement is a culmination of over three years of hard work by USA and it’s member stations,” noted John Christensen, USA President and CEO. “I would specifically like to thank the members of the USA ARM team for their dedication and support in developing this funding response. It should be noted that this is not the end of our effort, but only the beginning of our journey. The hard work starts in earnest now.”
Members of the USA ARM team that developed this funding request include the following individuals:
Luminant Power Optimization Center (POC) – Clint Carter and Jamie Dugan
Luminant Comanche Peak – Chad Iley
Susquehanna Station – Jarrett Heitzman and Joe Kostyal
Xcel Energy – Marc Anderson and Tim Kibler
Columbia Station – Nishant Chadha, Kevin Eldrige and John Twomey
Idaho National Labs (INL) – Bruce Hallbert, Craig Primer, Ken Thomas, Ahmad Al Rashdan, Vivek Agarwal, and Shawn St. Germain
This funding includes $9.18M to support Advanced Remote Monitoring research and development pilots at four USA member stations, development of advanced analytical software and software platforms, and development of an industry business case for this effort.
