Susquehanna hosts Equipment Reliability Working Group
USA fleet member Susquehanna Nuclear recently welcomed more than 75 nuclear professionals representing each member of the nuclear power stations in the United States to the East Mountain Business Center located just outside Wilkes Barre, Pa., for the Equipment Reliability Working Group Meeting.
Susquehanna’s Chief Nuclear Officer and USA Board Chair kicked-off the meeting. Tim welcomed the group and discussed the importance of nuclear sustainability.
The Working Group focused on discussing common gaps in equipment failures being seen by the industry and what is being done to address them.
“The meeting was used as an opportunity for Susquehanna Station to benchmark the industry for recommendations and best practices to help resolve our own long standing equipment issues,” said event host and Susquehanna Station Equipment Reliability Manager Julie Medina. “It is important that we all learn from each other, and help each other resolve common equipment problems. The ERWG is a powerful resource with years of extensive knowledge that can be leveraged to improve equipment performance.”
